Known for combining uptown chic with downtown edge, Rebecca Minkoff’s fall 2011 showing during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has us buzzing. Reminding us once again why Minkoff’s bags are a go-to accessory, the collection combines buttery leather in an array of colors (deep red, cobalt blue, dark purple and jade green to be exact) with fur, pleating and hardware in gold, silver and black. (And, we were lucky enough to meet the talented designer on our last visit to NYC, she is as cool as you would would think).Though the fall styles won’t be available for months to come, no need to fret: Spring 2011 is available now. The style that brought Rebecca Minkoff to fashion fame, the Morning After Bag, is undeniably stunning in a black quilted mini version. Also spring showstoppers: the oh-so-coveted Fatale in quilted black leather with the classic chain strap and the Affair featuring a long strap, bold gold zipper and tassel detailing, a bag every bad, but good girl should covet.
